Banks expressed frustration with the healthcare system, noting that even with her privileged status, obtaining basic reproductive health necessities like birth control can be unnecessarily complicated.

Her new comedy-drama series, "The Miniature Wife," explores themes of women's autonomy and the societal tendency to "minimize" their needs and desires. Banks drew a parallel between this fictional concept and the real-world challenges women face in healthcare access. She highlighted how certain states with strict abortion bans also exhibit the weakest maternal healthcare support, contributing to maternity care deserts and raising concerns about healthcare workforce sustainability.
