Cuthbert's Return: Mom Life Traded for TV Set

Elisha Cuthbert is back on screen after a four-year hiatus, taking a leading role in Prime Video's new romantic drama series, "Every Year After." This new project marks her return to acting following a significant period away from set.

Cuthbert recently shared her reasons for the break, stating that after having her second child, she felt a strong desire to be present at home. She worked through the first four years of her first child's life and found it challenging to balance motherhood and her career. The actress expressed that she didn't want to "waste any second" of her time with her children.

Now that her children are attending school full-time, Cuthbert feels she has the necessary space, energy, and emotional capacity to return to work. The series "Every Year After," adapted from Carley Fortune's novels, features Sadie Soverall as Percy and Matt Cornett as Sam, exploring their lifelong friendship and first love. The show's development for television was handled by Amy B. Harris and Leila Gerstein.
