Edward Norton feted at L.A.-Italia Fest for health doc

Edward Norton will receive a special honor at the Los Angeles-Italia Festival. The event will feature a screening of the documentary "Fasting and the Longevity Revolution," which Norton narrates. This film delves into the Mediterranean diet and its connection to quality of life, based on research by experts like Valter Longo.

The festival, held at Hollywood's TCL Chinese Theater from March 8-14, acknowledges the strong relationship between Italian culture and the Hollywood entertainment industry. Norton will participate in a discussion about nutrition and well-being alongside director Barry Alexander Brown and biologist Valter Longo.

The documentary itself travels through various locations, including Italian villages and cities, and parts of Ecuador, to explore how fasting and genetic factors can extend lifespan and combat diseases like cancer and diabetes.

This year's L.A.-Italia fest also includes other notable screenings and tributes, such as the Anna Magnani biopic "Anna: The Untold Story" and a celebration of Bernardo Bertolucci's film "Novecento."
