Vikander, Sarandon Drama Lands Global Deals

Andrea Pallaoro's drama, 'The Echo Chamber,' featuring Alicia Vikander and Susan Sarandon, has already secured distribution in numerous international territories. Deals have been finalized for Spain, Australia, New Zealand, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, former Yugoslavia, Bulgaria, and Taiwan. North American sales are being managed concurrently, with Italy and Benelux set for local releases.

The film delves into the complexities of a relationship between Leo and Anne, where intimacy and control blur. The narrative is enriched by the presence of Ava, whose voice unearths buried emotions. The project itself has autobiographical connections to the late Bernardo Bertolucci, with the screenplay originating from his work.

'The Echo Chamber' also boasts a significant musical element. Cast members, including Sarandon, Marinelli, and Vikander, perform songs. The soundtrack features licensed music from notable artists such as Jamie xx and Nick Cave. This marks Pallaoro's fourth attendance at the Venice Film Festival, having previously presented acclaimed films, with 'Monica' earning Charlotte Rampling the Volpi Cup for best actress.
