Jenna Dewan's DWTS Partner Replaced After Judge Clash

Jenna Dewan's Dancing With the Stars journey took an unexpected turn as her professional partner, Val Chmerkovskiy, was benched for the week. This decision followed Chmerkovskiy's strong public disagreement with judge Carrie Ann Inaba, where he alluded to an Oscar slap incident to defend his wife. Dewan was subsequently paired with pro dancer Alan Bersten for the 'Dedication Night' performance.

Despite the short notice, Bersten stepped up to partner Dewan. He and Dewan worked closely with Chmerkovskiy, who provided choreography guidance. The duo performed a Viennese waltz dedicated to Dewan's mother, earning a score of 37 out of 40. Notably, they received their first perfect 10 from judge Carrie Ann Inaba, signaling a resolution to the previous week's tension.

Chmerkovskiy supported Dewan and Bersten remotely, sharing their performance details on social media. Meanwhile, Bersten also faced criticism from former pro Gleb Savchenko regarding his suitability for the role, though Bersten's girlfriend, Emma Slater, defended him. Dancing With the Stars airs on ABC and Disney+.
