On October 31, 2025, former Dancing with the Stars pro Peta Murgatroyd revealed that the show's dancers have long begged to see the weekly voting results, but are consistently denied access. Murgatroyd, a two-time mirrorball champion, said "If we saw that, I would know everything. I would love to see that," but acknowledged that only a handful of people are privy to the voting data.
Murgatroyd also took issue with the current scoring system used by the DWTS judges, stating that a score of 9 out of 10 should signify "you are close to perfection" for a celebrity performer. She argued, "There's people who get nines that I don't think should get nines," suggesting the scoring is too generous.
Despite her critiques, Murgatroyd expressed high praise for the current Season 34 competition. She predicted that wildlife expert Robert Irwin, paired with pro dancer Witney Carson, would emerge victorious, saying "I'm not saying he's the most technical dancer. Whitney Leavitt for me is the best dancer of the season by far. She is absolutely phenomenal, but I believe Robert Irwin is going to win. People just seem to really gravitate toward him and he's so kind."
