Dwayne Johnson's 70s Transformation for 'Lizard Music'

Dwayne Johnson is currently in production for the highly anticipated film 'Lizard Music,' marking his second collaboration with director Benny Safdie. Johnson is undergoing a significant physical transformation to portray a septuagenarian character, a process that requires a remarkable five hours of daily makeup application. This extensive transformation is being meticulously crafted by Kazu Hiro, a renowned Hollywood prosthetics artist who also contributed to Johnson's previous film, 'The Smashing Machine.'

'Lizard Music' is based on Daniel Pinkwater's novel and centers on a young protagonist who discovers an island inhabited by sentient lizards capable of music and broadcasting television. The boy is invited to meet them and subsequently embarks on an adventure with the character played by Johnson, known as the Chicken Man. The film was acquired by Amazon MGM Studios' United Artists last October and is written and directed by Safdie.
