Dwayne Johnson's daughters steal Moana premiere spotlight

Dwayne Johnson recently attended the Los Angeles premiere of the live-action Moana adaptation, bringing his entire family along. He was accompanied by his wife, Lauren Hashian, and his four daughters: Simone, Jasmine, and Tiana. Johnson's younger daughters, Jasmine and Tiana, made a charming appearance in coordinating blue dresses adorned with hibiscus designs. His eldest daughter, Simone, also attended with her mother and Johnson's ex-wife, Dany Garcia, and Garcia's husband. Johnson reprises his role as the demigod Maui in the live-action film, a character his daughters initially had a humorous reaction to when he first voiced him. The family's appearance follows their attendance at the Moana 2 premiere in November 2024. Johnson also revealed that a third animated Moana film is officially in development, with Jared Bush and Dana Ledoux Miller returning as writers.

The live-action Moana, starring Johnson and newcomer Catherine Laga'aia, is set to premiere on Friday, July 10. This event highlights Johnson's deep connection to the Moana franchise, having voiced Maui in the original 2016 animated film and its 2024 sequel. His daughters have also contributed to the series, voicing characters in Moana 2. Johnson shared a heartwarming anecdote about his daughters' reaction to hearing their voices in the film for the first time. The actor humorously attributed their roles to "nepotism," emphasizing the personal significance of their involvement.
