The actor describes his new look as aiming for a "Clint Eastwood at 75" aesthetic, with sinewy muscles and a lean physique.
Johnson's co-star in "The Smashing Machine," Emily Blunt, was staggered by the actor's physical transformation. She recalls, "Holy shit, is what went through my head. I was really staggered by it. It changed the air in the room. Everyone just went very quiet...The transformation seemed like water in the desert. It was so magical."
While the duo is excited about their upcoming "Lizard Music" collaboration, they're also eager to reunite for a sequel to their 2021 action-adventure film "Jungle Cruise."
