A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, the Game of Thrones spinoff focusing on Dunk and Egg, has been renewed for a second season. Production for the new season began in Belfast in December, and the showrunners have confirmed that post-production is already underway. This suggests a potential release around January 2027, following the pattern of the first season.
Season two will draw its narrative from George R.R. Martin's 'The Sworn Sword' novella. This installment is set a year and a half after the events of the first season and will introduce new characters like Rohanne Webber, also known as the Red Widow. The plot will revolve around a dispute over a dried-up stream and involve a lady seeking a suitor.
While the cast for these new roles is still being finalized, the production is moving forward. George R.R. Martin has outlined a total of twelve more Dunk and Egg stories, providing a clear roadmap for the characters' futures and ensuring longevity for the series.
