A new live-action series based on Matt Dinnaman's popular "Dungeon Crawler Carl" books is officially heading to Peacock. Universal Global Television and Seth MacFarlane's Fuzzy Door company are behind the project, having acquired the rights in 2024. Chris Yost is set to write and executive produce the series.
The logline promises a wild ride: "An alien invasion has wiped out most of humanity and any survivors are forced to fight for their lives on a sadistic intergalactic game show." Protagonist Carl, a Coast Guard vet, finds himself partnered with a talking cat named Princess Donut the Queen Anne Chonk. Together, they must navigate the end of the world, facing diverse threats for the sake of entertainment.
