Dude Crosses ₹100 Crore Globally, Becomes Kollywood's Big Hit

Pradeep Ranganathan and Mamitha Baiju's Dude has emerged as a box office success, concluding its theatrical run with a solid global collection of ₹114.25 crore gross. Released on October 17, 2025, the Kollywood romantic comedy received decent to mixed reviews from critics, but the lead actors' performances and chemistry were widely praised.

Despite some criticism for its loose second half, Dude managed to open strongly at ₹9.75 crore and maintain a decent run in the initial weeks, benefiting from the Diwali vacation period. While it witnessed bigger-than-expected drops later on, the film ultimately achieved its goal in the opening week itself.

After a four-week run in theaters and its OTT premiere, Dude has concluded its domestic box office journey at an estimated ₹73.1 crore net (₹86.25 crore gross). Overseas, the film also performed well, earning ₹28.25 crore gross. This combined worldwide gross of ₹114.25 crore is a significant achievement, especially considering the film's moderate budget of ₹35 crore. Dude has delivered an impressive return on investment of 109%, making it a big hit for the Kollywood industry.
