Dublin's Christmas Eve Busk: Stars Unite for Homeless Charity

This Christmas Eve, Dublin city centre buzzed with festive spirit as the annual busk returned, marking its 15th anniversary. The beloved event, which began as a spontaneous gathering on Grafton Street in 2010, has grown into a significant fundraiser for the Dublin Simon Community. This year, Oscar winner Glen Hansard opened the festivities, signaling the start of performances by over 30 artists.

The traditional gig, now held near The Gaiety Theatre, saw hundreds singing along to holiday tunes and Irish hits. The heartwarming event's reach extended globally, with viewers tuning in from Berlin, London, and New York. Dubliners returning home for the holidays and international residents alike expressed their delight, with one visitor calling it "brilliant" and "only in Dublin."
