Casting director Jazzy Collins, leveraging her experience from reality shows such as "The Traitors" and "The Circle," is now a key figure in expanding the Dropout streaming service's universe. Her initial project for Dropout was "Monét's Slumber Party," and she has since contributed to flagship series like "Make Some Noise" and the particularly challenging "Very Important People." This improvised interview show requires a specific talent pool, distinct from traditional improv games or scripted roles.

"Very Important People" has developed a rich comedic lore, with dedicated wikis detailing improvised characters. These characters emerge from surprise makeup transformations, resulting in performances as zombies, haunted dolls, sentient hot dogs, and more. The show also follows the evolving personal life of host Vic Michaelis, who, as of Season 3, has adopted a baby demon and is navigating a divorce. Collins works closely with director Tamar Levine and Michaelis to balance established Dropout talent with rising improv stars and larger names.

Collins notes that many well-known performers are hesitant about "Very Important People," fearing they may not meet the show's creative demands or disliking the time commitment for makeup. Despite these hurdles, Collins maintains a wishlist, with Kristen Wiig and Maya Rudolph at the top, and would also love to cast Jinx Monsoon. The casting success of Danielle Pinnock as Ta'Tania Jackson exemplifies finding performers who embrace the show's unique challenge.
