Dropkick Murphys, a band deeply connected to Boston, have announced their extensive 2027 St. Patrick's Day Tour. This six-week North American journey commences on February 5th in Albuquerque, New Mexico, following recent European dates and upcoming Australian and New Zealand shows. The band, celebrated for their hit "I'm Shipping Up to Boston," also continues to be recognized for singer Ken Casey's vocal pro-union and anti-MAGA sentiments expressed during performances.
Joining them for most of the tour are Canadian street punks Home Front and San Francisco post-punks Spiritual Cramp. A notable exception is the March 10th date in Springfield, Massachusetts, where they will perform immediately after the local minor-league hockey team, the Springfield Thunderbirds. Tickets for this unique event are sold as a bundle with game seats.
With over a dozen studio albums in their 30-year career, Dropkick Murphys most recently released the LP 'For the People' in 2025 and a split EP, 'New England Forever,' in early 2026. They are also set to contribute to a tribute album for Shane MacGowan later in 2026. Fans can catch them sooner at Tom Morello's Power to the People Festival on October 3rd, near Washington, D.C.
