The Drishyam franchise has transformed from its initial remake status into a celebrated original series with significant global reach. Producer Ajit Andhare highlighted this evolution, noting that the story's inherent power allowed it to branch out organically.
The film's compelling narrative has transcended borders, notably achieving immense success in China with "The Sheep Without A Shepherd" grossing over $200 million. This success story is now being adapted in Korea, with producer Kumar Mangat Pathak involved.
Recalling the initial release, Andhare mentioned how "Drishyam" (2015) was strategically positioned between major blockbusters like "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" and "Baahubali." Despite this challenging release window, the film excelled, with audiences famously giving a standing ovation at its conclusion.
"Drishyam The Conclusion," directed and written by Abhishek Pathak, is slated for release in cinemas on October 2. The film features Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran, Jaideep Ahlawat, Tabu, Rajat Kapoor, and Mrunal Jadhav.
