At the trailer launch for 'Drishyam The Conclusion' held in Goa, key members of the cast and crew, including Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran, Tabu, and Jaideep Ahlawat, were present. Ahlawat addressed speculation, confirming his character is a new addition and not a replacement for Akshaye Khanna's role from the previous installment.
He explained that the narrative introduced a fresh character, thus eliminating any pressure to emulate Khanna's performance. Ahlawat highlighted that the director's clear vision for his character eased his acting process.
Ajay Devgn elaborated on the creative decision to introduce a Crime Branch official, stating it was to escalate the stakes and bring a new dimension to the investigation, thereby preventing repetition and enhancing the film's appeal.
'Drishyam The Conclusion' is scheduled to premiere in cinemas on October 2.
