Drake's Ice Sculpture: A Physics Melting Pot

Drake has unveiled a colossal ice sculpture in Toronto, concealing his new album's release date within its frozen mass. The artist's campaign for the album, titled 'Iceman,' features this unique spectacle in a Toronto car park.

A theoretical quantum physicist from the University of Toronto, Professor Valentin Crépel, provided scientific insights into the sculpture. He estimated the ice structure to weigh over 200 tons, a mass requiring approximately 70 gigajoules of energy to melt, comparable to a Toronto household's annual consumption.

Professor Crépel predicts the ice sculpture will endure for at least two weeks, factoring in environmental elements like solar radiation, ambient air convection, and rain. However, he noted that direct physical damage, such as chipping, accelerates melting by increasing surface area for heat transfer.

Attempts by individuals to melt the sculpture using fire and pickaxes have been documented. The professor advised that flames are largely ineffective due to heat loss to the surrounding air, while physical damage directly removes ice and enhances heat absorption. Local authorities have since cordoned off the sculpture to prevent further interference.
