- Parton dealing with "health challenges" that have derailed rehearsals
- Parton assures fans she's not quitting the business

As of September 29th, 2025, country music icon Dolly Parton has announced the postponement of six concerts scheduled for December at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. In a message to her fans, the 79-year-old Country Music Hall of Famer revealed that she has been dealing with "health challenges" that have derailed her rehearsals for the upcoming shows.
Parton explained that her doctors have advised her to undergo a few procedures, joking that it must be time for her "100,000-mile check-up." The singer acknowledged that she would not be able to give her fans the performance they deserve to see, and she needs time to "get show ready."
Despite the setback, Parton was quick to assuage any fears that something serious was amiss. "Don't worry about me quittin' the business because God hasn't said anything about stopping yet," she wrote, adding that she believes God is telling her to "slow down right now" so she can be ready for more "big adventures in life."
The postponed concerts were set to take place during the heart of the National Finals Rodeo competition in Las Vegas, a popular period for country artists to perform in the city. Parton's Vegas residency would have marked her first time playing in the city since 1993. Tickets purchased for the original dates will be honored at the new dates, which have yet to be announced, and refunds are also available.
