Parton likened her situation to a "classic car" requiring significant mechanical work, including engine and transmission repairs.

She explained that while her mental health is fine, her immune and digestive systems have been out of balance. Parton expressed sorrow for not being able to perform in Vegas but shared progress on her SongTeller Hotel and museum, slated to open this year in Nashville. Her musical, "Dolly: A True Original Musical," is being reworked for a 2026 Broadway debut.

Parton also reflected on adjusting to life after the passing of her husband, Carl Dean, in March 2025.
