Dolly Parton Cancels Vegas Shows Amid Health Update
4 May
Summary
- Dolly Parton canceled her Las Vegas residency again.
- She is responding well to medications and treatments.
- Dolly Parton's husband, Carl Thomas Dean, passed away earlier in March.

Dolly Parton has canceled her Las Vegas residency again, citing ongoing health issues that affect her ability to perform. In a recent Instagram update, Parton shared that although her treatments are proving effective and she is improving daily, the medications cause 'swimmy headedness,' a condition that prevents her from safely performing.
She explained that the dizziness, coupled with the demands of performing in elaborate outfits and heels, makes stage readiness difficult. This latest postponement affects previously rescheduled shows at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. Parton had initially postponed these performances in September 2025 due to health challenges.
Last October, Parton had addressed the cancellations, linking them partly to self-care after her husband Carl Thomas Dean's passing earlier that year in March. She mentioned needing to undergo treatments and stay closer to home and Vanderbilt. Parton expressed gratitude to her fans for their support during her healing process.
