Janet Fielding, who portrayed Australian air hostess Tegan Jovanka, has filmed a new mini-episode, Destination: Daleks. The recording took place at Butler's Wharf in London, the exact location of her last regular appearance in the series over 40 years ago. Fielding, who was last at the site for her departure scenes in "Resurrection of The Daleks" in September 1983, described the experience as "really emotional."
Fielding reunited with Fifth Doctor actor Peter Davison for the filming. She noted the significant transformation of Butler's Wharf from derelict warehouses in the early 1980s to modern residences and businesses. The mini-episode is being produced to promote the forthcoming Blu-ray release of Doctor Who: The Collection - Season 21, scheduled for March 16th. Fielding previously returned for a one-off appearance in 2022 and a BBC iPlayer series in 2023.
