Doc Star Charlotte Fountain-Jardim Exits as Series Regular

Charlotte Fountain-Jardim, who played Katie, will no longer be a series regular in the upcoming third season of Doc. She is expected to make guest appearances as her character begins her college journey in Chicago.

This transition opens a new chapter for Amy and Michael, exploring the psychological and emotional challenges of an empty nest, especially for Amy, who is dealing with memory loss. Executive producer Hank Steinberg confirmed Fountain-Jardim's continued involvement, stating the character will appear "as needed."

The series also continues its trend of incorporating new talent each season. Following appearances by Felicity Huffman and Blair Underwood, the show's creative team is confident in its ability to introduce characters that energize the narrative. The possibility of Scott Wolf's character, Richard, returning remains open.
