Adam Goldstein, widely known as DJ AM, was discovered deceased this afternoon in his New York City apartment. Law enforcement sources indicated that the discovery was made around 5:20 PM on August 13, 2026. Initial reports from sources suggest that drug paraphernalia was found at the scene.
Sources close to Goldstein noted he had not been seen or heard from for a few days. A friend, concerned after receiving no response to knocks on his apartment door, contacted the authorities. Police gained entry to the residence and subsequently found his body.
This somber news comes after DJ AM and Travis Barker were the sole survivors of a catastrophic plane crash that occurred in September 2008. The incident in South Carolina resulted in the deaths of four individuals when their aircraft veered off the runway during an aborted takeoff. A representative for DJ AM confirmed his passing in a statement, requesting privacy for his family and loved ones during this difficult time, while noting the circumstances of his death remain unclear.
