Disney's Hexed: Magic, Secrets, and a Teen's Wild Journey

Walt Disney Animation Studios is set to release its 65th animated feature, 'Hexed,' on November 25, 2026. This coming-of-age fantasy centers on Billie, an unconventional teenager voiced by Hailee Steinfeld, who struggles to find her place in the world. Her life takes a magical turn when she accidentally unleashes hidden powers, pulling her from suburbia into Hexe, a secret realm brimming with witches.

Guided by enchanted characters like Ms. Quill (Tracey Ullman) and Elias Quire (Stephen Fry), Billie embarks on a journey of self-discovery. Director Fawn Veerasunthorn described the experience as Billie entering "a hidden world of wild, unhinged magic to begin to understand herself." Co-director Jason Hand added that Hexe offers Billie the acceptance she craves, revealing a powerful connection to magic and long-held family secrets.

Rashida Jones voices Billie's cautious mother, Alice, grounding the fantastical elements with a relatable family dynamic. The film promises a colorful fantasy setting and enchanted supporting characters, exploring themes of identity, magic, and hidden family history. The directorial team includes Fawn Veerasunthorn and Jason Hand, with Josie Trinidad as co-director, and produced by Roy Conli and Yvett Merino.
