The Walt Disney Co. and WWE are significantly expanding their partnership, bringing two major events to Walt Disney World's ESPN Wide World of Sports complex next month. These events aim to boost interest in the upcoming Marvel Studios film, Avengers: Doomsday.
On Monday, December 14th, The John Cena Classic will take place, featuring stars from Raw, Smackdown, and NXT. This event, announced by John Cena himself, will stream on Netflix. The following night, December 15th, WWE will present an Avengers: Doomsday themed edition of Worlds Collide, with talent from WWE, NXT, and AAA competing.
Two-day combo tickets will be available for both events. Additionally, a WWE World immersive fan experience, in partnership with Fanatics, is planned. Attendees can purchase co-branded Avengers: Doomsday and WWE merchandise at WWE World, Disney retail stores, and the WWE shop. This collaboration broadens the companies' relationship into experiences and retail.
