Disney Star Josh Gad Haunts Disneyland as Mansion Caretaker

On October 1, 2025, Disney Parks released a video featuring actor Josh Gad taking on the role of a Haunted Mansion caretaker at Disneyland. Over the past several months, Gad has been featured in a series of videos where he takes on various theme park jobs, from Jungle Cruise Skipper to Kilimanjaro Safari tour guide.

In the latest video, Gad dons the traditional costume of a Haunted Mansion Cast Member and is given the opportunity to walk through the attraction itself, something that is typically only allowed during evacuations. Gad is clearly having a great time, making plenty of puns and jokes that would fit perfectly with the Ghost Host character.

The highlight of the video is the back half, where Gad fully embraces his Caretaker role and welcomes people to the Haunted Mansion. Many of the guests entering the attraction recognize the actor and are shocked and amazed to see him there, with one mother even pointing out to her child, "That's Olaf." Gad jokes that no one will believe them.

The video ends with Gad delivering the perfect Caretaker line, saying "I like cold hugs," a nod to his role as the voice of Olaf in the Frozen franchise. The video was likely filmed over the summer, before the Haunted Mansion received its annual Nightmare Before Christmas overlay for the Halloween season.
