Argentine filmmaker Daniel Burman has been appointed as the head of original content for Disney+ in Latin America. He will report to Eric Schrier, president of Disney Television Studios & Global Original Television Strategy.
Burman's new role will focus on expanding the scope, quality, and ambition of Disney+ LATAM's original productions. He will lead creative development and foster new talent, integrating more Latin American stories into Disney's global offerings. This appointment follows Leonardo Aranguibel's departure from his leadership position within Disney Latin America.
Burman joins Disney+ from The Mediapro Studio, where his production banner, Oficina Burman, was active since 2017. During his tenure there, he developed and produced high-profile scripted content, including the International Emmy-nominated "Victoria Small" and the triple International Emmy-nominated "Yosi, the Regretful Spy."
