Disney+ Germany Unveils Diverse New Shows: Vampires, Yachts, and More

Disney+ Germany is expanding its original content with a varied selection of new series, set to captivate audiences with diverse narratives. The streamer will launch 'City of Blood,' a supernatural thriller based on a graphic novel and set in an alternative Berlin ruled by vampires, premiering on September 16, 2026. Another anticipated release is 'Yacht Deals Monaco,' a reality competition show focused on the competitive world of yacht sales on the Côte d'Azur, dropping on August 2026.

Further enriching its German offering, Disney+ will introduce 'Vienna Game,' an opulent Austrian period drama scheduled for a November 2026 premiere. The platform is also developing a young adult series titled 'Westwell,' inspired by Lena Kiefer's books and produced in cooperation with Warner Bros ITVP Germany. Additionally, a crime miniseries named 'Monster' is in production, based on Nele Neuhaus' novel, with filming commencing in mid-January and an expected launch on Disney+ in 2027.

These new productions, including 'Westwell' and 'Monster,' will be labeled as Hulu Originals for Disney+ in Germany. This broad genre strategy aligns with Disney+ Germany's past commissions, which have included shows like the historical miniseries 'Sam - A Saxon' and the German adaptation of 'Call My Agent Berlin.' Previous successful ventures also encompass the fantasy drama 'Pauline' and the historical drama 'The Interpreter of Silence.'
