At the recent D23 event, Disney unveiled exciting previews of upcoming park attractions and innovations. Among the highlights was a sneak peek at Hugo's Sweets & Fizz, a themed snack cart inspired by The Mandalorian. This innovative concept features advanced animatronics of Grogu, affectionately known as baby Yoda, and Hugo, the cart's proprietor voiced by Martin Scorsese.
These animatronics engage in realistic interactions, with Grogu playfully eyeing snacks and using the Force on soda bottles. Although currently in the research and development phase, Disney Imagineers expressed hope that this cart will eventually become a functional part of Disney parks worldwide. This could offer park-goers a unique pop-up experience, even if its service as a treat vendor is yet to be confirmed.
The Imagineering: Horizons pavilion at D23 also showcased other significant park updates. This included a large model of the Cars land, Piston Peak National Park, set for Magic Kingdom. Additionally, new visuals were presented for the planned Avatar land at Disneyland and a forthcoming Monsters Inc. land at Disney Hollywood Studios.
