The new Paramount+ series 'Little Disasters,' premiering on December 11 with all six episodes, features Diane Kruger as Jess Carrisford, a mother facing accusations of harming her infant daughter after the baby sustains a head injury. Kruger, 49, admitted that embodying Jess was an 'exhausting' experience, leading to intense emotional strain during filming.

She described the role as requiring navigation of 'emotional extremes' daily, likening the filming process to a marathon. While the role was tough, Kruger expressed satisfaction with the final product but stated a reluctance to revisit such emotionally taxing characters. As a mother herself, she found coming home to her own daughter a significant relief.

Despite the fictional circumstances, Kruger found resonance with the character's struggles, particularly concerning 'mom guilt' and the pressure to be a perfect parent. She empathized with Jess's desire to be flawless while facing relationship difficulties and admitting to failures, acknowledging the inherent imperfection of motherhood and partnerships.
