Blizzard has unexpectedly released new downloadable content for Diablo II: Resurrected, "Reign of the Warlock," marking the first major update in 25 years. This expansion adds a novel Warlock class, described as wielding forbidden arts and dominating demons.
The Warlock class features three distinct skill trees: Demonic, which summons and consumes demons for boons; Eldritch, focusing on weapon imbuement and duplication; and Chaos, utilizing miasma attacks and enemy-sucking portals.
Beyond the new class, the DLC enhances the late-game experience with new Terror Zone options and a challenging Colossal Ancient boss. Quality-of-life updates include a loot filter and improved Stash Tab stacking.
Players can acquire the "Infernal Edition" of Diablo II Resurrected with the DLC for $40 or purchase the DLC separately for $25. The Warlock class is also coming to Diablo IV's "Lord of Hatred" expansion in April 2026 and Diablo Immortal in June 2026.
