Actress-turned-producer Dia Mirza revealed the extraordinary lengths she went to in order to bring the film 'Bobby Jasoos' to fruition. When the film's financiers and studios abruptly withdrew their support, Mirza took out a bank loan and mortgaged her first home. This bold decision was made to ensure the Vidya Balan-starrer, which had its script ready and cast committed, could be completed. Mirza faced industry skepticism as a woman producer, with initial advice suggesting it might halt her acting career.

Despite these challenges, Mirza prioritized completing the film, especially since Vidya Balan had already committed to the project. She proudly stated that she paid Vidya Balan her full salary, which was among her career's highest, emphasizing the importance of compensating female stars equitably.
