Dhurandhar: A Blockbuster Built on 'Mad Conviction'

Aditya Dhar's two-part epic, "Dhurandhar," has achieved remarkable success, rewriting box office history and becoming a significant cultural event. Jio Studios CEO Jyoti Deshpande shared insights into the ambitious production journey.

Deshpande admitted that "Dhurandhar" significantly overran its budget on multiple occasions. She and director Dhar maintained their belief in the project's potential, driven by what she described as "mad conviction" from the entire team.

This conviction extended to every crew member and actor, including Ranveer Singh, who is highlighted for his complete immersion in his roles. Deshpande emphasized the team's belief that they were creating something unprecedented and purposeful.

The production team meticulously managed expenses, ensuring that every rupee spent was visible on screen. To maintain financial viability for the expensive film, the focus was on casting dedicated performers rather than relying on big-name stars.

Deshpande explained that Ranveer Singh was the ideal choice due to his exceptional acting talent and transformative abilities, recalling her positive experiences working with him early in his career.
