22 Mar
Summary
- Most of the film's brutality was cut for release.
- Director encouraged extreme and imaginative violence.
- A specific climax scene took 14 days to shoot.

Aditya Dhar's "Dhurandhar: The Revenge" delivered a powerful action experience, but its final cut significantly reduced the intended brutality. Action director Aejaz Gulab disclosed that while they shot extensive violent sequences, only 60% ultimately appeared on screen. This decision was made due to the current streaming era and the possibility of younger audiences viewing the film.
Gulab shared that director Aditya Dhar fully empowered the action team, encouraging them to devise the most brutal and imaginative kill sequences. Dhar's calm demeanor contrasts sharply with his distinct approach to action choreography. The filmmaking process involved significant improvisation, particularly during the climactic masjid sequence.
This particular climax scene demanded six days of rehearsal and fourteen days of shooting, presenting considerable challenges in maintaining continuity. Every department, including hair, makeup, and costumes, worked diligently, referencing photos after each shot. Actors demonstrated immense dedication, continuing to film despite sustaining multiple injuries during the demanding climax sequences.
