Aditya Dhar, director of Dhurandhar: The Revenge, has issued an apology following significant disruptions during the film's paid previews. Technical issues led to widespread delays and cancellations of screenings, particularly impacting the dubbed versions of the film. While Hindi screenings generally commenced as scheduled on March 19, 2026, Tamil and Telugu versions were delayed until 9 pm, and Malayalam and Kannada showings were postponed to the following morning. These unforeseen technical difficulties caused considerable confusion and disappointment among audiences who had pre-booked tickets.

Major cinema chains in Delhi NCR and Mumbai reported operational problems, with some IMAX bookings temporarily suspended. Theaters in various locations, including Greater Noida and Mumbai, reported not having received the digital prints in time. To mitigate the fallout, the filmmakers offered affected viewers the choice of a refund or watching the Hindi version with subtitles. Dhar assured audiences that measures were being taken to rectify the screening issues for future shows of the A-rated film, which has a runtime of three hours, forty-nine minutes, and six seconds.
