On October 15th, 2025, the Karnataka Balvikas Academy (KBA) hosted the Makkala Habba, a celebration of children's talents, in Dharwad. The event featured a captivating array of cultural performances by over 300 children, including dance, music, acrobatic skills, drama, drawing, painting, and folk music.
Speaking as the chief guest, Dharwad's Deputy Commissioner Divya Prabhu stated that wherever children are present, every day and every moment carries a festive atmosphere. She commended the KBA for organizing children-centric programs that provide a platform for students to showcase their skills and help them scale up at the national level.
The KBA Chairman, Sangamesh Babalashwar, informed that the academy has always been dedicated to bringing the children of the state into the social mainstream. He also announced the upcoming inauguration of a state-of-the-art, fully equipped children's studio at the academy's central office.
The Makkala Habba event was part of the month-long Children's Day celebrations organized by the KBA, aiming to celebrate the talents and creativity of the young generation in Dharwad.
