Dharmendra Receives Treatment for Age-Related Health Issues, Hema Malini and Dimple Kapadia's Friendship Highlighted

As of November 10th, 2025, veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra, now 89 years old, has been receiving treatment for his age-related health issues at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. While doctors work to ensure the actor's stability, his friends and colleagues have been visiting him and offering support to his family.

Amidst the concern for Dharmendra's well-being, a recent biography on actress Hema Malini, titled "Hema Malini: Beyond the Dream Girl," has shed light on the close friendship between Hema and her contemporary, Dimple Kapadia. The book reveals that during Dharmendra and Hema's budding romance, Dimple, who was married to Rajesh Khanna at the time, would often visit Hema's film sets and provide her companionship.

Despite the age gap and their different career stages, Hema and Dimple formed an unexpected bond. Hema described Dimple as a young girl forced to grow up too soon, struggling with the weight of a difficult marriage. Dimple, in her "hot-headed" days, even went as far as to bluntly tell Hema that "Dharmendra will never marry you," projecting her own frustrations onto her friend. Contrary to Dimple's prediction, Dharmendra and Hema Malini did eventually marry in 1980, solidifying one of Bollywood's most enduring love stories.
