Dharma Productions Eyes Mythological Creature Feature

Dharma Productions, under Karan Johar, is expanding its theatrical offerings with two major projects. The production house is preparing to shoot a mythological creature feature and a high-concept creature comedy, both slated to begin filming by December 2026. These ambitious ventures signify a diversification beyond Dharma's typical romantic dramas and family entertainers.

National Award-winning filmmaker Sandeep Modi, known for 'Aarya' and 'The Night Manager', is set to direct one of these distinct films. Dharma Productions is reportedly placing significant bets on the unique concepts and potential of these projects. The announcements for these films are expected to accompany a video unit release with 'Ramayana' during Diwali 2026.

This move into creature-based features aligns with Dharma's broader strategy of exploring high-concept storytelling and large-scale cinematic spectacles. The production house also has other projects like 'Kao, Radha Krishna', 'Gadadhari Bheem', 'Udta Teer', 'Kuku Ki Kundali', 'Nagzilla', and 'Lag Ja Gale' lined up for future releases.
