Actor Dhanush has recently fueled speculation about a possible political entry. Speaking at a fan gathering, he urged attendees to leverage their collective unity for community service rather than solely focusing on film-related events.

His remarks have prompted comparisons to Thalapathy Vijay's potential political aspirations, with some fans expressing anticipation for Dhanush's own political move.
During the same event, Dhanush also addressed criticism regarding his recent National Film Award wins. While he admitted that other Tamil films might have been more deserving than his 2024 directorial, 'Raayan,' he highlighted the significant achievement of a Tamil actor securing two national awards in a single year.
His performance in 'Captain Miller' earned him a Special Mention, while 'Raayan' was awarded Best Tamil Film. The latter's award, in particular, generated considerable online debate, with many arguing for different film selections.
