22 Jun
Summary
- Devo and B-52s have added eight new dates to their ongoing tour.
- The bands are extending their 'farewell' tours, a trend also seen with Bob Dylan.
- New shows are scheduled in Seattle, Vancouver, Grand Rapids, and other cities.

The popular Cosmic De-Evolution Tour, co-headlined by Devo and the B-52s, has been extended once again. Eight new arena and amphitheater dates have been added to the co-headlining run. These new shows are scheduled to take place in cities such as Seattle, Vancouver, and Grand Rapids, with DJ Cummerbund set to open.
This expansion continues a notable trend where bands like Devo and the B-52s, alongside Bob Dylan, seem to be extending their tour itineraries through successive additions. Devo announced their farewell tour in 2023 and expanded their schedule earlier this year, while the B-52s began billing their concerts as a farewell tour in 2022, though they continue to perform under specific conditions that minimize extensive travel.
Fred Schneider of the B-52s previously clarified that the band would still perform in "special situations" not requiring arduous tour travel, following their retirement from major tours in 2019. The band has since completed a Las Vegas residency and numerous concerts across North America and Europe. The newly announced dates for the Cosmic De-Evolution Tour are listed for September and October.
