Devil Wears Prada 2 Director Planned Nate Cameo

David Frankel, the director of The Devil Wears Prada 2, revealed he had considered incorporating a surprise cameo from Adrian Grenier, who played Nate in the original film. Frankel admitted to Entertainment Weekly that he thought about 'sneaking' Nate into the sequel, but it was unfortunately too late in the production schedule to make it happen.

While Frankel did not specify how Nate might have been included, he expressed appreciation for Grenier's recent humorous Starbucks commercial. The absence of Nate from the sequel has been noted, with Grenier himself stating it was a disappointment not to be asked, although he acknowledged the character's controversial reception among fans.

The sequel, titled The Devil Wears Prada 2, sees Anne Hathaway's Andy Sachs return to Runway Magazine two decades after leaving. She reunites with Meryl Streep's Miranda Priestly, Emily Blunt's Emily Charlton, and Stanley Tucci's Nigel Kipling. The plot involves Andy and Miranda needing to persuade Emily, now heading a luxury brand, to invest in advertising to save the struggling publication.
