Deverakonda & Mandanna Launch Scholar Dreams

Actors Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna recently visited Thummanpet village in Telangana to launch a significant scholarship initiative. This event marked a personal homecoming for Vijay, as his father was born in the village.

The scholarship program, first announced in February, is designed to honor and support academically strong students from government schools in Achampet Mandal. The initiative aims to provide these students with crucial aid for their higher education.

During the event, 180 meritorious students were recognized for their achievements and selected to receive scholarships. Vijay Deverakonda expressed his vision of expanding this program beyond his father's village to encompass all of Telangana.

Rashmika Mandanna, speaking at the event, emphasized the importance of starting this endeavor in Thummanpet and expressed her excitement. The couple, through The Deverakonda Foundation, aims to create a sustainable model for educational support.

This visit not only celebrated academic success but also fulfilled a promise made by the actors earlier in the year. Their efforts are set to create more opportunities for talented students in rural Telangana.
