Detroit Ignites Sky Tonight: Ford Fireworks spectacular awaits!

Detroit is alive with anticipation for tonight's 68th annual Ford Fireworks, themed "Detroit! Go for Launch." Crowds have begun gathering hours in advance at prime viewing locations, including Hart Plaza, Spirit Plaza, Belle Isle, and Erma Henderson Park, all seeking the best vantage points over the Detroit River.

For attendees heading to designated viewing areas like Hart Plaza and Spirit Plaza, security will be in effect. These locations are weapon-free zones, and all visitors will undergo screening, with coolers and backpacks subject to search. Re-entry is not permitted once visitors leave these sites.

A curfew is also in place for minors aged 17 and under. From 8 PM tonight until 6 AM tomorrow, June 23, a curfew will be enforced in a specific area encompassing the riverfront and surrounding downtown streets. Minors within this zone must be accompanied by an adult aged 21 or older, unless traveling for work, school, or organized activities.
