In a recent interview, Destiny's Child singer Michelle Williams revealed what she believes is the group's most underrated track - "Sexy Daddy" from their 2001 album Survivor. Williams, now 46 years old, spoke about this little-known gem while attending the 27th Annual Angel Ball in New York City on October 27, 2025.
The event also honored Tina Knowles, the mother of Beyoncé and the woman who designed Destiny's Child's iconic stage looks in the early 2000s. Williams fondly recalled how Knowles, now 71, offered to style her for the gala, instantly transporting her back to their early days together. "It brought me back," Williams said. "I was like, 'Miss Tina!' At the same time, I just love how maternal she is -- she just kicks into that nurturing mode -- and it made me feel like it was when we first met 25 years ago."
During the event, Williams delivered a heartfelt tribute to Knowles, highlighting her lasting impact not just on Destiny's Child, but on Williams' own life and career. Williams praised Knowles' guidance, encouragement, and belief in the group, as well as her courage in facing and overcoming breast cancer with "bravery, faith, and dignity."
