- He filed to end child support payments for the twins in May.
- Quaid's older son, Jack, also pursued an acting career.
Actor Dennis Quaid is navigating a new phase of fatherhood as his 18-year-old twins, Thomas and Zoe, have started college. Quaid recently shared that he had accompanied them to their respective campuses.
Zoe Quaid is pursuing business studies at the University of Virginia, while Thomas Quaid is also studying business at the University of Colorado Boulder. This milestone comes after Quaid sought to end his child support obligations to ex-wife Kimberly Buffington, amounting to $13,750 monthly.
The court filing in May cited their 2018 divorce agreement, which allowed for the termination of payments after each child completed 12th grade. Both twins graduated in May and June, with Quaid and Buffington attending Thomas's graduation. Quaid also has an older son, Jack Quaid, from his previous marriage to Meg Ryan, who is also an actor.
