To commemorate the 75th anniversary of Dennis the Menace, a special issue of the Beano comic has been released, featuring 75 "legendary creative mischief makers" as 10-year-olds. Among those reimagined are prominent figures such as Harry Styles, Claudia Winkleman, King Charles, and social media star Mr Beast. This collectible edition boasts the longest fold-out cover in Beano's history, showcasing all 75 individuals at an epic street birthday party for Dennis.
The anniversary comic, which first published Dennis in 1951, is also advocating for reading as a fun and mischievous activity in support of the National Year of Reading. Research commissioned by Beano indicates that children and adults agree on humor, creativity, and imagination as essential traits for mischief makers. As Beano's Year of Mischief is declared for 2026, the publication continues its legacy of entertainment from its Dundee headquarters, having been first published in 1938.
