Demi Moore Recalls Pregnancy Challenges on 'A Few Good Men' Set

In a recent Q&A at the New Yorker Festival, actress Demi Moore, now 62 years old, reflected on her experience working on the 1992 film 'A Few Good Men' while nearly 8 months pregnant. Moore revealed that she believes her co-star Tom Cruise, now 63, was "quite embarrassed" by her pregnancy during the film's preproduction.

Moore, who was pregnant with her second child Scout Willis at the time, explained that she felt the pregnancy was not as supported in Hollywood back then as it is today. She said she put a lot of pressure on herself to "prove that it was possible" to have both a successful acting career and be a mother.

The actress admitted that she became "a bit of an overachiever" in trying to manage both roles, recalling that she did a 24-mile bike ride and was dancing at a reggae club the day her water broke. Moore added that she even started working out and trying to get in shape before giving birth, as she would be wearing a military uniform in the film.

Despite the challenges, Moore said she felt "okay" about her pregnancy at the time, though she could tell Cruise felt it was "a bit awkward." The actress believes this was because many of their Hollywood peers were not having children then due to the pressure to choose between a career and motherhood.
