Formed in September 2024, a choir dedicated to supporting individuals with dementia on the north coast has been described as a "life-changing support network." Age Concern Causeway initiated the ensemble, which has since seen a substantial increase in its membership.
The choir, now consisting of approximately 20 men and women, recently experienced a heartwarming collaboration. Children from Castleroe Primary School joined forces with the choir for a special Christmas concert held at St Patrick's Church in Coleraine.
Participant Kathleen Kane, 80, shared her positive experience, stating, "I love it and I sit at home and sing away." This initiative highlights the profound impact of music and community support on those living with dementia.
