Actor Delroy Lindo was involved in a racial slur controversy at the recent BAFTAs ceremony. While presenting an award with co-star Michael B. Jordan, the N-word was audibly shouted from the audience by John Davidson, who has been diagnosed with Tourette syndrome. The incident left Lindo visibly shaken, though he and Jordan continued with their presentation.
Following the event, Lindo shared his disappointment in an after-party interview, noting that no one from BAFTA had approached him regarding the slur. Davidson later issued an apology, stating his tics are involuntary and not reflective of his personal beliefs, and that he left the ceremony early due to the distress caused.

He moved to the United States as a teenager and has largely built his acclaimed career there, receiving his first Oscar nomination for the film 'Sinners'.
